The 24 hour Engagement Session

I love it when my clients approach me with an idea which I've never done before. When Christina and Mike first met with me, they wanted their engagement portrait session to be unique. They wanted to capture their love in the outdoors since they both love to go camping and hiking in nature. One of their favorite spots is Joshua Tree National Park. Our primary goal is to do a night session under the stars but also along the way, we sneaked in a few photos in Palm Springs.

We headed out around noon and our first stop was at the Botanical Gardens in Palm Springs, captured a few shots with the windmills during sunset right before we checked in for a night cap at local hotel near Joshua Tree National Park. We woke up and got ready around 3am and hiked on over to one of the more famous locations, The Arch Rock. It was pitch dark and lucky for us, we met up with a photography workshop class who knew exactly where the location was. We spent about an hour at the Rock and drove out to more picturesque locations to try and capture the sunrise. Joshua Tree truly did not disappoint. We headed to one last stop in Palm Springs called the Indian Canyons. If you want an amazing location with an abundance of 4 story high palm trees, this is the paradise to be.

I had such an amazing experience with Mike and Christina on this epic 24 hour photo session. Would I ever do it again??? Heck yes.
