I love it when my clients approach me with an idea which I've never done before. When Christina and Mike first met with me, they wanted their engagement portrait session to be unique. They wanted to capture their love in the outdoors since they both love to go camping and hiking in nature. One of their favorite spots is Joshua Tree National Park. Our primary goal is to do a night session under the stars but also along the way, we sneaked in a few photos in Palm Springs.
We headed out around noon and our first stop was at the Botanical Gardens in Palm Springs, captured a few shots with the windmills during sunset right before we checked in for a night cap at local hotel near Joshua Tree National Park. We woke up and got ready around 3am and hiked on over to one of the more famous locations, The Arch Rock. It was pitch dark and lucky for us, we met up with a photography workshop class who knew exactly where the location was. We spent about an hour at the Rock and drove out to more picture...
The best thing about getting married in Southern CA is that you can expect the weather to be close to perfect almost year round. Krista and Tommy's wedding was just that- perfect weather and perfect scenery for photo opportunities all around! Their wedding was held at at a venue in San Clemente, CA called Wedgewood Weddings.
